Perry and Caroline in france

November 2008

Het weer in de Gers

We're back!!!!

Eight months of radio silence and now a bumper issue to (hopefully) more than make up for it. Perfect escapist reading and fireside tales telling of all we have been up to since February.

One big addition to the site is our Help & Tips section. So many people ask us stuff about moving, buying, renovating, artisans and translating, that we decided to create a host of facts and links for those of you fancying a life in France. To back it up, we've created a bookshop with loads of invaluable and interesting books on renovating, French law, planning permission, living and working in France and learning French. So fill your Christmas stockings!

Both Caroline and I have also written new personal notes. Lots of kiss and tell!

Then there's the house. Not much been going on, but there's an update with some nicely finished and furnished spaces in Our House.

The Nature page has also had a few additions but of course, the Diary is what it's all about. So here come March, April, May, June, July, August, September and October

Among several other projects, Perry has been working on a couple of large websites that are close to launching, but the economy is biting everywhere. So anyone in need of a website, brochure, logo, illustrations, or virtual tour should seriously give him a call. (Blatant advert for my business? Moi?) His professional site is to be found at La Baguette Magique.

So that's it for now. Grab a glass, better still, grab a bottle, sit back and plunge into the tales of life down in the Hautes-Pyrénées

Oh, almost forgot. We have Christmas cards printed and ready to send. It's those ducks again and the hunters too. So if you fancy sending a 'Taylor-made' greeting, click here to see the designs.

PS. If you've just discovered this site and would like to be informed each time we update the site, just drop us an email and we'll add you to our mailing list. Your address is kept only for this reason and won't be given to others.

À bientôt,

Perry et Caroline
